Can make many different types of throws

A far cry from the where they were last season sixth overall.Much of this could be attributed to the run-and-gun style implemented by Tortorella, a totally different strategy than what was used by his predecessor Tom Renney.Let's not forget that up until last week when rookie Bobby Sanguinetti filled in for Redden the Rangers had only used six defensemen. Normally teams carry at least seven pointmen on the roster.Of those six defenesemen, two are rookies (Michael Del Zotto, and Matt Gilroy), and one is Michal Rozsival...Not to mention, Dan Girardi's subpar play early in the season and Marc Staal's adjustment to becoming more offensively aware has haltered his defense. All of these are factors in the Rangers atrocious defensive equation.Moving Heikkinen from Hartford to New York was not an easy task, however.Due to backup goaltender Steve Valiquette being sent down for what Tortorella is calling "conditioning," and G Chad Johnson being brought up along with the acquisitionof C Erik Christensen off of waivers from the Ducks, Brandon Dubinsky was moved to the LTIR.Moving Dubinsky to the long-term injured reserve allowed a forward from the current roster to not be waived to clear cap space for Heikkinen to come up.Do you know what a much easier solution to this cap problem would beGET RID OF ROZSIVAL!His contract, along with Redden and Drury's, has been crippling the Rangers ability to adjust.Of course there is no team out there that will take on Rozsival's ridiculous contract, but there is no reason why he can't be sent down to the Wolf Pack, and hey, if somebody claims him on the way down...oh well! And if he does clear waivers, well, then he can finish his service in Hartford. To say his performance has been horrible is an insult to the word horrible.. 1st Round - Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame Jr 6-2 1/2 220 Clausen has no reason to come back to South Bend, other than Michael Floyd still being there. He will be the first QB off the board. Teams who may draft a QB in the first round include the Browns, Raiders, Rams and Seahawks. Mid-Late 1st Round - Tony Pike QB Cincinnati Sr 6-5 1/2 220 - Great thrower of the football.

Can take a little off his throws. Can make many different types of throws. Throws well on the move and throws a great deep ball. Underated prospect who could start as a rookie Great instincts for the position. Some may question his arm strength, similiar to Canfield in being a pure passer. 1st/2nd Round - Ryan Mallet QB Arkansas RS Soph 6-7 239 Oozes NFL on every throw. Very good feet and movement skills for a QB of any size/stature. The way he plays makes you forget he is 6'7". Very Athletic with a Cannon of an arm. 2nd/3rd Round - Sean Canfield QB Oregon State 6-4 1/4 215 A great Senior season has propelled his stock. Best pure passer in the draft who played under a great QB Tutor in Mike Riley. Played under center more than 50 of his snaps which is a huge bonus.

Has shown he has enough arm. 3rd Round - Jonathan Crompton 6-3 NFL combine will be huge for him. Playing in a pro style system. Has handled adversity very well. Highly touted coming out of HS. Has a strong arm and had a great senior year, but is far from a finished product. May be looked upon as a "project" type of prospect. 5th-6th Round - Colt Mccoy QB Texas 6-1 1/4 207 Undersized signal caller who makes plays but lacks ability to manipulate defenders and work from under center. Those two weaknesses have discouraged NFL people. McCoy will turn out to be your classic Heisman Winner turned NFL Bust. His Accuracy, Arm Strength and Field Vision are all just average at the College level This kid does not translate well to the Next Level. . The Razorbacks had a tough 2008-2009 season, and hopes and expectations were that the Hogs would have a better 2009-2010.
